Game over.

At some point in the game, you say enough. You look around at your life and you see how the things fit and you see that something that you wanted to fit so badly, just doesn't fit anymore. It becomes something so unfamiliar to you that you barely recognize it. It makes you become a person you don't want to be and makes you feel a way that you don't want to feel. So enough, enough now.

I am setting myself free. Everyone who wanted to see this happen, here you go, you win.  Game.over.

  1. Friend: I don't know what is going on, but I can offer this from experience. Love this in-between place, with its vulnerability, terror, shame, whatever. It's such a rich place to be. You'll look back and see your life hinge on this moment! I came back to this quote a lot during my time of huge transitions and not-knowingness: My barn burned down. But then I could see the moon.
